It's all in the computer you buy, and how it is set up the first time! What you do after that can mean the difference between having a system that runs, (or doesn't) and a system that runs well! Some of our favorite programs and applications may not be beneficial. They may be a waste of time, money, and system resources when there are faster, cheaper, and better ways of accomplishing the same goals.
In an ever changing industry it's hard to know what to do when problems mysteriously appear in a new system, an older workstation or your Network. Given the complexity and logical nature of electronic devices, problems will occur.
Networking, File systems, sharing and permissions. Antivirus and Security programs. Hackers; (Actually, they are good guys! It's the crackers we have to watch out for). It's not what's on your computer they want. It's your computer!! They want! How to safeguard against them? What to do for Spam, Web, and Email filters? Do you fix an older computer or replace it? What about new operating systems? Printers, MP3 players, Cell phones, Audio and Video hardware integration. New software and/or hardware compatibility problems? And these are just a few things to consider.
